Took my car in to have the shop take a look at my PSE, as the rattling has returned. Now it seems as though the heat shield on the driver side muffler is loose and the valve on the passenger side muffler is broken. They are going to warranty the mufflers of course, but with an '02-on or 3.6 version of the PSE as the older 3.4 version has been superseeded. I'm not really crazy about the larger 3.6 PSE on my 3.4 as I would have liked to keep the car model year correct, but I don't have much choice. I am also more than a little concerned about the quality and reliability of the PSE mufflers, the valves appear to be the source of potential problems. I have half a mind to sell the new PSE as soon as I get the car home and go with something else. :(

Doug,

I don't think your problems are typical. Mine has been rattle-free and no issues. Did you check your PSE over before the installation? The first one I was shipped was damaged.

One plus, is that many have stated that the 02+ PSE sounds better/louder. I have not heard this myself though.

Not sure how much the larger 3.6 motor contributes to the overall sound versus a 3.4 with the same PSE.

Doug,

Dump the PSE's and get some GHL's, you won't be sorry and you'll have 800$ in your back pocket.

Chris

That's probably what I will do, either Fabspeed or GHL etc... After the new warrantied PSE is installed I'll offer it up for sale. I don't think I'll have any trouble selling like a new PSE. Maybe someone will have better luck with them.
