How can you differentiate where a boxster was made Finland or Germany?

does either manufacturer have a better track record for quality?

Digit 11 on your VIN code either has a S= Stuttgart or a U=Uusikaupunki

I have a S=stuttgart its 7 years old... only problems seen were some roof issues (motor), airbag (changed seatbelts) and again I have the light today, also the ignition switch... it runs very, very nice. So i would give S a thumbs up. I have no other experience on U's.

The Finish cars have a better paint job by some reports, but really there is no verified difference in quality, only anecdotes and opinions.
