i have a 2006 v6 porsche cayenne with a standard cd player with radio...

i buyed this navigation pcm2

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=200414181043

from the first time i connected the navi it gave me this error messege

system error: phone not found, press confirm

and no buttons are working except the volume button... i cannot get rid of this error messege ever since...

also a weird thing is that when the key is not in the ignition and i open lights the navi stars playing radio and it won't turn off until i put the key in and out...

but most important how i can use my navi and get rid of that phone error messege ??????????

Sounds like it needs to be configured to your car with a PIWIS tester.

If you did not have NAV before then the software needs to be configured.

thanks!

is there any way to factory reset the pcm without bringing it to the dealer? because i live very far away from a porsche dealer... thanks

No - it is the rest of the MOST controllers in the car that need to be aware of a new module in the system.

Once you are setup for NAV it should not need to be reset even if you change the NAV to a different unit.

There are a few independent shops that have PIWIS testers - but if you can not find one you will no choice.
