Hi,

I have been having a problem filling my gas tank for some time but it just got significantly worse. For the last year, sometimes when I fill up my car I end up having to hold the nozzle manually at about half speed, or else the nozzle auto shuts off. This always happened on pumps with the fume shield thing, like in California, but not always on regular, older pumps. However today, I went to fill up and used a regular nozzle, however after just a few seconds the auto shut off triggered and some of the gas started spewing out of the tank and the overflow by the front passenger wheel. This happened 3 times and then I just held the nozzle at half speed until the tank was full.

Obviously, something is wrong, and I am wondering if anyone has any ideas what exactly may be wrong. I remember seeing this a while ago, could it be the same thing?

Thanks!

There is a small ketch tank near the fill line. You get

to this by removing the front tire and the tire liner.

The area is small and compact. Replacing some parts

will fix your problem.
