Install 997 dashboard in 996?

I have seen a lot of 996 to 997 conversions out there but never seen anything done to the interior? I have a Boxster 986 that I´m fiddeling a bit with have been playing with the idea of putting a 997 dash board in it. Is this possible or just not worth the hassle?

Like anything, it is probably possible. But there will be so many pieces other than the dash that you will need to change, and modify, that it would be cost prohibitive. If you notice, the only ones that do that kind of stuff customizing interiors are the major aftermarket brands such as gemballa, ruf, techart, speedart, etc. If you check carefuly you can see that they really mix and match and they also add their custom stuff. But, look at the high prices they command.
