Hiya!

My 996 C4s´s on board computer tells me that the oil level is low, but the oil level on the oil dipstick says its just fine. This is rather confusing but i rather rely on the dipstick where I actually can see the oil level.

Anyone else who had this issue?

My car is a 996 C4S -02 with 30k miles.

My 03 C2 does the same thing but it only shows the oil level low when the motor is cold. once it is warm it shows it full.

The oil has to be warm for the electric monitoring to work properly, even then it can be inaccurate. The dip stick is the most accurate way to check the oil.
