Looking for some stats on the Average Max Mileage on 2006 997 C2 and C2S - - trying to decide the right balance between cost and life expectancy.

Would greatly appreciate your gudiance.

I would say about 14 mpg. I can

run about 200 miles before I fill up

with about 14 gallons.

I get about 6 mpg on the race track.

You talking fuel mileage (which is laughable) or odometer mileage?

And welcome to the forum!

I believe he is referring to vehicle miles. I'd be curious to learn if the 996/997 cars are aging gracefully or not. Anyone out there with 100k+ mileage cars that want to chime in?

thanks for the welcome...and apologies for not being clear - I meant mileage that can be expected on the engine---it is a 150k engine, more? I ask, as I see a pretty dramatic price drop on when the mileage hits the 50k range.

Many thanks

I have a 1999 996 with 125,000 miles on it that is still purring like a kitten. I have every expectation of seeing over 250,000 miles out of this engine and transmission. However, I'm probably going to have to do some suspension bushings and shocks soon.
