Hi Guys,

I search a few thread related to cold starting, but not so sure if they related. Basically, car can't run on itself starting cold. I have to gas up and keep revving until the engine temperate at normal operating temp in order for it to keep idle and running. If I don't gas up, it will sputter and die. there is no CEL code. What could be the problem? anybody has the same issue?

thanks for all the help.

Do You Have a CEL? Generally cars needs extra fuels when cold. Long story. Anything in the loop that detects the fuel ratio could trip it up. Off the top of my head, O2 sensors might fit the bill, temp sensor maybe, somthing to do directly with the throttle body, but you really ought to have a CEL...get the failur codes.

The best, pk

You either have an air leak causing a weak mixture or the temperature sensor has failed and therefore the extra fuel needed when cold is not being added, There ought to be a code sprung though as to have such a weak mixture that the car stalls should be detected

thanks guys, I found the problem. It was an air leak in the vent line tube. this caused all the trouble and a bunch of CEL code. I electrical taped it so it temporary stop the leak for now until the part arrive. at least it not O2, MAF or other kind of sensor, i'm happy.
