I have a 2006 Cayenne v6, 6300 km. I have owned it for 8 months now and i am sad to say that i have had a lot of small issues with it.

When i bought it, it was indicating direction indicators (different ones from time to time), headlight beam adjustment and different cornering lights. All these were fixed in one way or another at Porsche.

But since a few months it has been indicating that the four-wheel drive system is faulty, also from time to time direction indicators and cornering lights again. Every time i drive it to the Porsche shop (350km) they say that cannot find any problems with it but as soon as i get home with it the problem starts again.

I drive it daily, but only short trips. But it seems like when i drive longer trips like to the Porsche shop the problems dissapear. Or Porsche is just lying to me, but i would not want to think that... The thing is that i have warranty for few months more and i really want to get rid of the problems before warranty runs out.

I am starting to think that the problems can be connected to low power in the battery because i charged the battery over night a couple of weeks ago and after that i did not see any errors for 4-5 days, but after that they appeared again.

I also took it to a local shop that are good at Audi and Volkswagen to have them check the error codes, but they did not find any errors, even though they were there. (could have been so that their software didnt work 100% with porsche either)

It would be great if someone could tip me in what it could be. Or how i can check if it really is the battery that is causing this.

I think your point about a new battery is key. Replace your battery and see if that fixes the issue.

I agree, the battery can caused many odd problems. It's not recommended to use the Audi/VW scan equipment on Cayennes as it can cause false codes or CAN problems.
