Hello, just replaced front rotors and pads on my '03 Cayenne S - followed the DIY posting on this site - fantastic. Other than one caliper bolt that was demonic, everything else was straightforward and frankly, easy.

However, when I started the car this morning, during the warm up period, I pressed on the brakes a couple times and heard a very light click/crunch sound come from the center console under the driving programs control. It made the sound only when I stepped on the brake while car was in park (and the control works fine, goes into all modes). So, I have no idea if it made that sound before I did the brakes, because can't really think I would have pressed on the brakes like I did this morning.

The worry of course (or catholic guilt, not sure) is that I did something to damage the drive train - maybe banging on that one caliper bolt, or the spot I used for jack stands wasn't secure, or the jack points I used (while near the suggested, not exactly) caused something to get out of sync.

So shouting out to all those in the know to see if anyone's familiar with this, or might suggest anything I should do to check it out further. Again, car drives and breaks fine, and no sound while in motion. Thanks everybody.

Ken
