Valentine 1 and Insulated Glass

Recommended Posts

Just bought a valentine 1 as a christmas present, but now i'm hearing that there may be issues because of the insulated glass in the windshield and rear window.

Anyone else heard of this issue?

It was originally bought for a Cayenne turbo, but the person who is getting it also has an S4, so i know it can be used there.

Thanks

If you do have the PJ1 - Thermally Insulated Glass option, you are very limited as to where the V1 will work. See the attached for Porsche's response. The big problem is how to hang it up there.

I use a V1 in my 04 and it works fine. I also use a tool booth transponder and it works as well. I'll have to look and see where the "zone" from Dutch is where I'm mounting mine - it's pretty close.

Basically, the top 3 inches down from the edge of the top windshield gasket are clear of the metallic film all the way across the glass................ So just mount the unit up high and you will be fine.

Interesting. That's not what Porsche says in the bulletin posted above; but what do they know anyway! :notworthy:
