Boxster S Aero Kit II front bumper cover part# question

Been looking for this piece for a while. I'm 99% sure it's the exact same part as the 911 GT3 Mk1 front bumper cover. I've found the part at a reasonable price. When I asked for the part# here's what I got...

996 505 980 02 G2X

My research says the Boxster part# is...

996 505 983 01

G2X just means primed. Any input from board members? Before I pull the trigger on this rather expensive piece ($2,800 from the stealer) am I talking about the same part and will it fit my 04' Boxster S? Thanks!

What would be the difference between the two parts or is there none?

What would Porsche have two part numbers if the parts are the same?

I have seen the parts side by side but I think it is likely that the Boxster S bumper has the opening for the 3rd radiator and the standard Boxster one does not.

If you get the GT3 or the Aerokit (996) front bumper there is a plug that is removed if you have a center radiator.

Here is the GT3 front bumper on my car with the plug removed (since I have the 3rd radiator).

Loren, sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but do you know if I can order the center plug if I source a Gt3 bumper and put it on my base car without the center radiator?

I've never seen a part numb er for it.

If it is the early type center plug only you can have mine (I think I still have it).

According to teile.pl, the 03 part (996 505 980 03) has the centre plug: Teile.pl:

There is a part number for the plug: 996 505 985 00. Couldn't find out much about it, but that's the number stamped on the back of mine.

Sidenote, are the scoops on the back of the intakes included in the 996 505 980 02/03 part? Not the ducts all the way in to the radiator, but the 996 505 982 00 / 996 505 981 00 parts.
