Yesterday, I threw my one and only key for my 2001 Boxster S into the front storage compartment. I have read several posts on here about the emergency latch so I tried that. I had a mechanic come out and remove the plastic from both front wheel wells and still couldn't find the emergency release below the headlight or anywhere else that was suggested. The car is fully charged; however the locksmith who came out yesterday to help at first smashed out my driver side window by being too aggressive and the immobilizer is engaged. As always, these things happen at the worst time and I have a family emergency that I need to get too immediately a few hundred miles away (and my windowless car is street parked in Brooklyn). Any suggestions on what I can do? Thanks for the help.

Not quite sure I follow. Your keys are in the frnt trunk? If you reach under the front bumper right in the middle you should feel a cable to pull. I f you can't get the door open to release (?) the hood, there are locksmiths who can pick thiose locks, give you the code etc. I had it done here, just callled AAA and toild them what I had and they sent the guys withew skills..

Regards, PK
