In my Owner's Manual on p 194 in the PDCC section, there is a sub heading entitled: "Checking hydraulic fluid". In that sub-section it states:

"Regular checking and changing of the hydraulic fluid takes place as part of servicing.

"Further important information on 'Maintenance' can be found in a separate chapter.

"> Please see the chapter 'CAR CARE INSTRUCTIONS' on Page 270."

That Car Care Instructions chapter contains only information on washing, cleaning and waxing - no info on the hydraulic fluid. Can anyone illuminate this subject? TIA!

The fluid reservoir is located under the left engine compartment trim, the reservoir should be replaced together with the fluid, cause a build in filter. It is extremely important to keep the system free of air bubbles (check the fluid level). Running the tandem pump (steering assist pump/PDCC) with less of fluid or air bubbles in the circuit destroy the fragile pump within minutes. The fluid is PENTOSIN CHF 202 and the bleeding can only performed by PIWIS.

Thank you!

How frequently should it be changed?
