:help: Anyone have the actual cost of a new GT3 (997-1 series) engine w/exhaust and if it could be a direct replacement for a plain ol 997 C2? Center exhaust and bumber taken into account.

I'd think you'd be better off selling the C2 and then buying a GT3. If you really want to do engine work, look into RUF in Dallas. High quality and be preparred to spend about $28K.

A crate GT3 motor from Porsche, if you could get one, would be about $35-40K if I had to guess. What about the DME? Maybe you could find one on eBay or LA Distmantlers for about $25-30K.

I agree with the suggestion to sell your car and buy a GT3. Far better economics in the future, and the car is amazing in comparison to your C2. I made a similar decision, and have never regretted it for a minute.
