Pre-purchase tips needed

I am looking for some advise on purchasing a 1990-91 C4. I will have the car professionally

inspected prior to purchase but I am new to Porsches and seeking some basic tips,

questions to ask, things to look for, to weed out the rotten ones.

I have a fair amount of auto experience so I am able to look for basic pre-owned red

flags just seeking model specific "gotchas" more specifically with drive train and suspension.

A lot of us here are pretty lame (myself especially) when it comes to the air cooled Porsches. I would make sure I had the car inspected by an air cooled specialist. He would also help you identify years and model to seek out or stay away from. The older cars can be even more pricey to repair than the new ones so you have to do your "due dillegence".

Your best to search online as there is loads of info and FAQ's about this model. There are just too many areas to cover. Where are you located? Ask around at your local Porsche Club if possible.
