I recieved a 2005 C2S Coupe manual 6 speed for my Birthday and and have been having a problem with the nav unit.

When entering a distant destination city for a road trip after selecting the city, the streets are displayed based upon existing streets in that city.

these are old cities and well established streets, not new developments, so I'm unsure as to where to take the issue.

I have scanned the forums here and can't find a similar/matching situation, but I'm new, so ....

Any ideas, like the number one reason, etc.. like maybe an operator error?? who knows

A grateful newbie

Well here's one idea. If you have an MY05 997 then I suspect your NAV DVD is from 2004 unless it's been updated.

So . . If you're looking for 'new' roads and such they won't be on DVD.

This isn't an answer to your problem, but an observation concerning the NAV sustem. I also have a 2005 C2S with a 2004 nav DVD. The problem that I have is that every now and then (like a couple of times in 6 months) it takes me to the wrong destination. The first time that it happened I thought that I entered the wrong destination. But, yesterday I entered the right destination and it still took me to a street address in the wrong town. After entering the address again at the wrong destination the NAV system got it right. I've been thinking that updating the DVD might fix some problems in the system?

OH, and happy birthday. Nice present!!!
