Hello, I own a 2005 Cayenne S that has the I1D8 option ("Preparation for Detachable Trailer Coupling USA"). Can anyone clarify what I need to actually install a trailer hitch? For instance, is the hitch mostly factory installed or do I require a major upgrade to do it? I already read the TSB6690, but it seems that it does not apply to someone that already has the I1D8 option installed at the factory (the TSB6690 seems to pertain to a dealer installing the hitch from scratch). I'd be grateful for any assistance fellow forum members may be able to provide... Thanks in advance!

I have the same situation. There is supposed to be a plug under the rear bumper somewhere. Does anyone know where it is? I had a local shop put on the hitch with no problems and minimun cost. (labor $80)

there is a hidden plug just to the right of the center. its foldable, and hidden inside the bumper usually. You can unfold it by pulling it clockwise.
