I am having door lock issues along with sticking outside door handles. Has anyone pulled the door panels (tips, diagrams)? Also, when I lock the truck with the remote and pull the drivers outside door handle to confirm it's locked it feels like it's doing the same thing as when you unlock the doors from the inside by pulling the handle twice. The drivers side outside handle is doing just that, pull it once and it feels like it unlocks the door, pull it again and the door opens! PS, locking it with the key does not help.

Ok, got the door panel off but I couldn't get to the lock mechanism. Can you remove the black metal cover under the door panel to access the actuators?

Remove only the bolts (and use the holes) which are approx. on the same height of the actuators you want to lubricate, and use a spray aerosol with a long extension tube on the nozzle, so you can reach as close as possible the actuators.

Removal and reinstalling of the black metal cover is not that easy, especially when not absolutely necessary.

RFM. I did just that but I now have an issue with the drivers door not locking. I can hear the actuator working but it will not lock the drivers door. Could there be a rod that disconnected or an adjustment that can be made?

I understand you have already removed and installed the metal inner door panel, in this case, don't close the door and ask for factory instructions regard the door lock handling (VW is the same). There is a risk that the door can not be opened any more, inside and outside, very important to know.
