steering angle sensor calibration on pst2

hi all

i am trying to calibrate the steering angle sensor on my friends 996 2001 year car using a pst2 but it comes up with enter code 0000 ? can any of you guys tell me is this code available or is it a trip to the dealer ? any help much appreciated.

Did you get the safety code from the Actual Values menu and enter that code?

to be honest i didnt even see safety code in actual values . i will get car back and try that

You need to follow the re-calibration procedure (in the service manual). Otherwise it will fault every time.

Just as a point of interest, I hooked up the new release of durametric beta 6.0 for 9x6 cars last night and was giving it a cursory look. It appears to have steering angle calibration capability.
