This is probably a question for Loren.

I have P1411/P0410 - Boxster 2001

No vacuum leaks, valves all work and hold vacuum, relay and fuse for smog pump good.

I am able to manually actuate the smog pump using Durametric.

Problem is: during cold start up, smog pump will not actuate during initialization test.

Is there a way to confirm that the problem is with the ECU?

Thanks.

P0410 Secondary Air Injection System, Bank 1 – Below Limit

P1411 Secondary Air Injection System, Bank 2 – Below Limit

Possible causes:

− Wiring harness or fuse

− Relay

− DME control module

− Air supply lines

− Secondary air injection pump

− Electric change-over valve

− Air change-over valve

I do not know if the Durametric software bypasses the relay but verify the relay is functioning.

US/Canada car? No DME programming changes?

When we ground the relay everything works correctly. Also, Durametric does not bypass the relay.

No DME programming changes.

US car.

I'm still leaning toward DME control unit but would like to confirm if possible.

Thanks.

I think I would try a re-program of the DME before buying a new one.

Is there a way to do that with the Durametric software? Or do I need a PST2?

Thanks.
