I know the 993 Turbo is a widebody.

But what about the n/a 1996-1998 993s? Which ones are considered widebody......the C4 and the C4S? Are the C2 and the C2S narrowbody? Thanks.

I found my answer:

C2S and C4S are widebody.

C2 and C4 are narrowbody.

Interestingly enough, yes. In the 993, you need the 'S' to get the widebody. But it is different for the newer 997s - you need the '4' to get the widebody, the S doesn't play a role.

Did they do any widebody C2's prior to 1997 does anyone know?

I have reently purchased a 1995 C2. Its badged Carrera S, which i have assumed was just something a previous owner stuck on, due to the fitment of the Aero kit and upgraded split rims, for sure i bought it and appraised it as a standard S....

However i keep looking and am convinced its widebody.... it may just be the Aero rear tail and wide rims throwng me... and of course i haven't seen a single other 993 to compare to since i had it......

Wide Body cars have the extra section (metal) under the sills, narrow have a plastic section in the same place.
