I just did the red caliper swap on my MY00 996 and packaged the black calipers up for shipping that were on the car but did not right down the part numbers. Anybody have them?

Hi LV,

The believe the brake caliper part numbers are as follows:

Front Axle

996.351.425.01 L/H

996.351.426.01 R/H

Rear Axle

996.352.421.03 L/H

996.352.422.03 R/H

How did your brake caliper install go? What was the total cost? I'm probably going to do the same on my 03.

Regards,

John

Hey John,

I will probably write it up and post this weekend. Actually it was quite simple just TIME CONSUMING. I think I paid about $1250 for the calipers and also did a ATE Super Blue fluid flush. Didn't change the pads though since they still had some life in them. Depending on what I get off my old calipers ($) I think I might have only spent about net $500 to switch to the reds. About what you would pay to have somebody powdercoat your blacks and these are factory done!

Hi LV,

Thanks for the follow-up information. I'll probably order them from Sunset Porsche in Oregon. Cost plus 15% is a pretty good deal. Which brake bleeder did you end up using?

John
