What do you mean by "tut"?????

Search old threads under user name "Tool Pants". He has listed some info and pictures about the painted rollbar.

I hope the paint shop you are working with does an excellent job prepping the surface to accept paint. Also, do not put back in the plastic windscreen in the windstop hoops (if you have this option) for several weeks, until the paint has cured. If the paint is not cured, you could have peeling problems when you remove the black plastic windscreens in the future.

A quality paint job on the roll bar, IMHO, should not be less than $1,000. The factory option is about $550 and well worth it. Good luck!

lee:

Do a search here for a DIY for removal of the complete top and frame assembly.

Or, you could go to Mike Focke's website : http://mike.focke.googlepages.com/mikespor...boxsterwebpages

Look under the "sub index of articles on the convertible top".
