How to Clean the Inside of Headlights

The inside of the headlight lenses of my Boxster look to be sand pitted, but that doesn't seem likley given that they are sealed. Have any of you seen the same condition and if so, how did you deal with it. It is not noticeable until you turn on the lights.

Are you talking about the clear plastic cover for the assembly, or the clear plastic lense in front of the bulbs? If it is the lense then it may have that look because of the high heat caused by aftermarket high wattage bulbs which cause brown patches when the plastic starts to melt.

The inside of my head lights also look awful and I would want to know if there is a fix for this.

I'm referring to the outer plastic cover. When the lights are on, the inside of the headlite cover looks pitted like it might have been in a minor dust storm. The outside face is smooth to the touch and there are no brown spots. I did a sanity check on one of them and tried Diamondite to make sure that I wasn't overlooking fine pitting, but it's obviously on the inside. Are these units sealed?

I've seen the same thing on lots of 986 lights. When I installed some new ones on my car, they had the same texture on the inside. Not sure this is a problem, but it still doesn't look good.

Toolpant 2x unless thep lasic was inferior and outgased...unlikely.
