Hi Guys, I took delivery of a shiny black Boxster S in July after a happy 12 months with my Cayman S, but was seduced by the prospect of sunny weather and the new PDK gearbox - I am somewhat regretting the switch on both fronts now! I seem to suffer terrible lag when pulling away, whether in manual or auto mode, and often there is a sensation of the clutch catching, then "dipping" momentarily with a clunk before again taking off. I thought it was perhaps just a characteristic of the 'box, but after a marvellous day at Silverstone yesterday on the PDE, the Boxster I used there was just perfect and did not replicate the problem. My car has done 2700 miles now, whilst the Silverstone car had done 4500 (hard driving) miles , so should I take it in to the dealers or will they just say "they all do that sir"?

Take it to the dealer. I drove a Boxster S with PDK at a Porsche "Ride & Drive" It didn't have the issues that you speak of in any way. It was very impressive and I didn't notice any lag.

Somthing is wrong..

Good luck
