The problem with intermittent problems is catching them in the act. If it left no pending codes that is unusually.

They likely need to connect the PIWIS tester and then "rain" water on the car with a hose.

i guess i will be stuck with that . It only happens when the engine is cold . If i press the gas pedal the car dies anyway or when i drive it , is the same thing.

I just talk to my local service guy in Porsche dealer he told me that if we don't have any codes 95% chance that the high pressure fuel pump is bad . Any ideas ??

That is a lot of work.

Perhaps you should measure the fuel pressure and output first. I doubt both fuel pumps could be bad unless their is some fuel contamination.

so , i need to remove the fuel tank ? or the rear seats ?

I was suggesting that you should measure the fuel pressure and output first - otherwise you are just guessing (IMHO).

did not change the pumps yet . Now when you start the car it runs only for about 10 to 20 seconds . When i am under the car i can hear the pump running (passenger side) , then the pump stops and 5 second after that the engine shots down. Any help before i send it to dealer ? :renntech:
