2002 Boxster S Convertible with around 23,000 miles...I have had this problem that I have had once before, but it magically went away for a few weeks. Here's the problem...the computer limits my speed to 10-12 mph and 1800 RPM on the dot, while in 1st gear. When I shift into higher gears, my top speed increases minimally. When in 6th gear, it limits to around 20-25 mph. I never lock my car, but decided that today I would do it for the heck of it. This is when the problem kicked back in. I think it has something do with a security/valet mode, to limit the valet to exceed speeds. (not to sure on this one) Anyone heard of this problem before? Thanks

There is a limiter build in the DME (new car mode), a deeper look in to the system with a PIWIS tool is highly recommended, to find out why the limiter kicks in once in a while.

APR offers a CPU upgrade with valet mode. Have you had the car for a while or purchase it recently.
