Can anyone tell me where the starter relay is on my 2000 911 c2?

Thank you.

:welcome:

The start lock relay is on the relay/DME panel under the carpet behind the rear seats.

Are you sure you have a relay problem and not the clutch starter interlock microswitch problem?

Thanks for the reply and the welcome. My car is an automatic. I tested the relay and it is good. It looks like the terminal 85 that goes to the dme and me7 isnt completing the circuit. I know my 87 out to the starter is good, i know my 86 is hot with the key, and I know my 30 from the ignition switch is good. I only have a small key not the fob. I wonder if the car thinks its stolen and not completing the circuit. If that makes sense.

The valet key should still start the car and unlock doors (manually).

Are you positive your battery and grounds are good?

Have you had the battery load tested and checked the specific gravity of each cell?

Also, check the Tiptronic display in the instrument cluster - does it show you in P (park).

If not you may have a bad alignment or the magnet may have fallen off the shifter.

I'm sure my battery is good. I believe my ground is good as well.

The tip does display P on the cluster. The key I have has no buttons and a small head. Would that key still start the car? Is there a light or anything for the alarm that could indicate a theft problem.
