Hello everyone,

Can anyone help me, what is this plug for? Its underneath my pass seat. I think its audio/amp, how ever, after inspecting my amp in front of car, i noticed that same cables are NOT plugged in to my radio, which works fine. FYI the previous owner DID however install a "ipod aux plug". But still, am I missing something? did he have rear audio speakers, which are not there now, and this is evidence? Im lost. thanks in advance!!!

Mystery Connector

I can't recall what the color of the plug was, so I'm not sure if it is the same one as the one you show, but when I installed my airbag deactivation bar (for the Porsche baby seat), I had to insert a connection into a plug under the passenger seat. Maybe that's what you are looking at. I believe all of the pre-2005 Boxsters had that plug located under the passenger seat.

A bit late, but does no look like a factory conector. Most are black and that looks like something you can buy from Radio Shack.

Air bag deactivation plug has 2 wires and is black

Two blacks, a green and a red, could be a home made plug for the rear speakers. Pop your radio out and see if they attach to the brown plug in the back of the radio?
