Cruise control stalk cap missing

Help! My wife has lost (for the second time) the cap for the cruise control stalk on her 2001 boxster. It unsnaps, falls on her lap and then out of the car when she gets out. I was told by my Dallas dealer that I would have to buy the whole stalk assembly, but I know they replaced just the cap under warranty the first time it was lost. I know there is a parts bin somewhere with 1000 of these caps. Where can I find one to purchase? Thankspost-23105-1250338622_thumb.jpg

The cap is available seperately and available in gloss black or mat, Here in the UK its just over £2 - so for you just over $3

Your dealer is lying to you. You can buy just the cap. It is part number 5 here in the link provided, and it costs only $5.75. In fact, even if you order a brand new complete stalk set, it still doesn't come with the caps for the two right side stalks. They'd still have to order both the wiper wash cap and cruise control cap separately. Can't believe the stuff some dealers say. Print off the page from the link I showed you, and bring it to the dealer to tell them they are WRONG! :D

Order the gloss version for the 2001 model year. The cover you have shown in your picture is matte, and is used for model year 2003 and up. If she keeps snapping them off, buy a couple. LOL
