Rear Spoiler light

hey all -

I have a question about the light that is in the rear spoiler. ( 2006 997 )

I just got mine replaced under warranty after I was getting the " 3rd brake light failure" warning on my dash.

After getting my car back , I have noticed that the light doesnt even seem to come on.

So my questions is, when is the light on the rear spoiler supposed to come on ?

I have a brake light at the bottom of my rear window, and of course the 2 brake lights on the body of the car.

Is the rear spoiler light a 4th brake light ? A reverse light ? A rear fog light? <_<

It lights up when you break while the rear spoiler is up

thats what I thought - but it doesnt light up when sitting still -

Does it only light up when the car is moving ?

Maybe over a certain speed ?

The light at the bottom of my rear window is still working btw.

disregard my posting -

its working...

what I thought I saw in the reflection was the light at the bottom of the window working , when actually the light in the spoiler was working.

When the spoiler is down , the light at the bottom of the window works.

Its as I thought it was supposed to be.

All is well :rolleyes:
