Hi,

I am having the same problem with my 1997 986 that many have suffered. Got some water under both seats, not enough to break anything, YET. I am the new owner of the car and noticed that the water drain trays are in bad shape with the gaskets so I am pretty sure my leakage is due that. Drain pipes are clean and work ok. It seems that they got broken while the ex-owner removed the mechanism for the electrical top, I wonder if the new parts (trays) are even going to be tight enough without transmissions attached to them.

I need some help confirming the numbers for the parts that need to be changed, thanks in advance!

I am unable to spot if the part number for the gasket in the bottom of the top (number 1) is 986 561 393 01 or 986 514 731 00?

Is the gasket attached to the body for the clamshell (number 2 in the picture) 986 514 211 01?

I believe that drain trays are 986 561 805 03 (left) and 986 561 806 03 (right).
