My 996tt Key is just too badly abused to be used lol

So SunCoast Porsche Dealer was kind enough to honor the PCA discount and sent me the NEW design KEY which is an easy gut swap from old to new! As this process went on you can really see and feel why they went with a new key design. New weather seal design is much better and and the construction is 100% more solid. Of course its light years more pleasing to own.

Nice one kwerks! Changed my main key head to that newer style as the rubber button on my old key head had fallen apart.

Looks great now! :-)

Even had a comment from an Indy saying they had never seen that key style before

Thanks SO much for posting this.

When I got the part from Rector Porsche here in the SF Bay Area, the parts guy didn't even know that this part existed for the 996 keys! A very nice in your hands upgrade replacing my worn out key!

Great post about the key fob, looks like you have helped a few with your info!  :jump:

Love this...

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,
Torque is how far you take the wall with you.
