what does it mean to 'blow out the torque converter'? is that to say that the problem(s) you experienced were due to the tq going bad? if so, does that actually warrant a rebuild of the transmission?

F.Y.I. - I wanted to let everyone know that two months since I first posted on this topic, I ended up blowing out the torque converter in my tranny I will now be having my transmission rebuilt.

I don't know what to suggest, since looking inside a transmission is not cheap, but thought it might be helpful for others to know. I would be curious to hear any updates from others who were having similiar problems.

Btw, KBL Transmissions in Midway City, CA quoted me a rebuild with a 1 year/12,000 miles warranty for $2,700.

Hi guys, its been awhile since ive posted anything here but guess what?! i still have the same problem. still no solution. i guess the best next step really is to change the tranny on my car. im still using the car as my daily driver and its been slipping like before. and now i noticed that when you put it on 1st gear and in an incline position(going up) from stop. I cant seem to drive the car as smooth as it should be and it feels like the tires are slipping but when i checked the wheels its not even moving. what do you think guys?
