Anyone know where to find the paint code on a 2006

997S? A chart said the front of the driver's door but

I could not find it.

Should be on the Vehicle Maintenance Book tag, under the front trunk lid tag and on the older cars it was behind the carpet liner in the front trunk - left side near the headlight adjusters.

Slate Gray Metallic should be 22D

The only sticker under the front hood is

the air-conditioning stuff. I even checked the back hood

and the stickers were emissions and stuff like that.

I wonder if it could have fallen off from the heat.

if you want something repainted, just mail in your gas door lid. They can better match the color than with codes alone. However if you just need a can of touch up paint then you are good with the codes.

Found it under the gas cap holder!!!

Paint code is 23F

I bought a pen stick a couple of years ago and I looked in

it's package. The code was L23F.

Thanks again for pointing it out to me.
