I will try to get some more info on the issue later on, but right now this is what I got.

02 Boxster 2.7 manual transmission w/ Replacement engine at 4500 miles. Currently at 25,000 miles.

Pads are new with about 1000 miles on them. ATE Super Blue racing fluid. I used a Motive Power bleeder, with a psi of about 15, well below the 20 psi max.

Last year I noticed that the clutch pedal felt like it was rubbing against something. Dealer lubricated the pedal spring assembly and it went away. Just recently it came back and I noticed this time the sound was a rubbing sound in the rear of the car, inside the bellhousing. The next day the rubbing was drastically reduced if not eliminated.

However, this morning in stop and go traffic I noticed a strange braking sound, but only some of the time and only at low speeds. It almost sounds like one of the calipers has very little pressue and then when I step on the pedal it makes up the difference resulting in a groaning/clamping sound. Car stops very well, no change in pedal feel, sound does not exist if I am at speed and have to press the brakes.

I did notice that it seems to occur if Im in first and I have the car up in speed and then release the accelerator letting the car slow down enough to level off the initial jerks of 1st gear and then press the brakes to actually stop. I think it may also be in conjunction of me pressing the clutch pedal. I have yet to test this theory and be able to localize and reproduce the sounds 100%.

It does sound like its coming from the front right, which I believe is closest to the master cylinder. But I cant confirm.
