Ok.. this is weird.. when I was trying to replace the ignition switch, I disconnected the fuse (#1 in Row 2) and killed the power supply to the cluster (and the door gongs when the door is open).

after everything was done. reconnected the fuse and everything seems fine except now the cluster showing numbers in German KM/H instead of our MPH. No that I don't like it, I probably will have problem explaining to DMV next time.

Any easy way to fix it? Non-documented buttons to push like the A/C display etc.

Need help...

Changing over between Kilometers/Miles (or Miles / Kilometers) is easy.

With the ignition on, hold the right hand adjustment button (looks like a clock) turned to the left for about 5 seconds.

(BTW... this is in the Owners Manual)

Is the metric system German? (i.e., "German KM/H") :)

Thought it was more of a RoW thing.

I actually tease at my friend Markus in German all the time. He is cool. I am ok with both systems. Loren, I am playing with the buttons, Monday should be Metric or should it be English..

That something that alway intrigued me. The US is the only country in the world that still use the "Imperial" system (well they "tweak" the gallon since there are Imperial and US gallon) but they were the first country that became independant of the British empire....
