Just curious if there are any options or possibilities of updating the front Boxster S bumper to the new 2nd gen 987. Also curious about the rear fenders to the new 2nd gen rear fenders (vents). I really like the styling of the new LED type fog / turn / daylight running lights on the 2nd gen 987s. Just wondering if anyone's attempted this and est. cost of something like this.

There are kits for the 997 mk1 "look" that would bolt on to your front end, but would require significant paintwork, etc. and differ from the 987 setup due to the headlamps. That alone may cost somewhere near five figures, and when you start talking about work to the rear quarters (vents, etc) you might spend more than your car is worth.

With the buyer's market as it is, maybe you should consider upgrading to a newer Boxster instead of updating the look of your old one. There are 987 S cars out there for under $30k right now, so if you own your current car outright you could sell/trade it and spend the bodywork money on a decent motor, hardware, and lower mileage upgrade.

Porsche dealers are very good at this type of conversion. Just bring your car and a check for $50K down to your local Porsche dealer and they'll handle everything. :-)
