Just wondering if anyone had tried the Swissvax detailing products?

I have just done the Mother's 3 stage detailing (Boxster S looks great) and just wondered what more would the Swissvax products have achieved? It seems realy expensive but just read an article on them in 911 and Porsche World June 2009. Any experience with the products?

I haven't used Swissvax, but a friend of mine swears by Zaino. He's a 'vette guy, but I have to say, his new ZR1, after using it, looks like you could almost jump into his paint and do a back stroke. I think any of these new polymer based "optical polish" solutions probably yield the same result. Provided you're willing to jump through all the hoops.

On my Boxster, I've been using Mequiars and really can't complain. Maybe one day I'll try something more fancy, when I have three or four days to put on the 4 coats required of some of these new polymer deals. :) Just seems like (the Zaino products) a lot of work and fuss for a shine, especially on a daily summer driver like the Boxster.

They have an interesting website www.swissvaxporsche.com

Very expensive detail kits. The Mother's 3 coat kit was about a tenth of the price.

I too have been very impressed with Zaino. I can't discern the difference in clarity between Zaino and other products that I've used, like Mother's and Mirror Glaze, but it certainly lasts much longer. The water continues to bead on my car that sits outside all year after 6-7 months. The Carnuba products stop beading after a couple of months.

Another +1 for Zaino. And I like RejeX wax for leading edges like the front bumper and side mirrors for bug splatter, and the wheels for brake dust/dirt.
