Just purchased a 2007 987 S and traded in my Honda S2000. I'm very impressed with the car of course!) and I am getting used to driving it and its' limits, etc. What kind of initial starting point tire pressures are recommended for autocrossing? Mine has the stock Michelins. Thanks, and happy to be here!

not sure what the stated tire pressures are on the 987, but on the 986, i run 32/34 cold (no autocrossing)

the recommended tire pressures are something like 32/36 or 32/38

the larger differential adds understeer

lowering the differential makes the car more neutral

i do know the 987 has higher profile tires than the 986, but the basic theory should hold true

I recommend starting at 40 all around and working your way down. You probably do not want to go below 35psi.
