i am looking for the aftermarket connector for my '08 cayenne, as i am putting a GPS/DVD unit in the car, but i couldn't find the acc wiring.

is there anyone knows where the aftermarket connector is located, so i don't have to cut any existing acc wire.

Aftermarket connector?? Porsche wiring is equipment/option specific, you should have to go in to the existing wiring IMHO.

it may not called aftermarket connector, what i mean is there should be a connector in the car somewhere, which is supplied for installing aftermarket accessories into the car, so we dont just tapped into to any other circuits.

"should be" but there isn't one. take power from lighter. that is all you can "tap" in that car. i assume you are not trying to integrate external dvd with your sound system because that is a different game altogether

actually what i am trying to do is take the factory head unit out, and put a gps/dvd/bluetooth/ipod etc. all in one system in there, but this unit is not customised made for cayenne, so the wiring is not compatible. this is my first Posche, i used to have a 08 holden sv6 which has the aftermarket connector, it makes everything a lot easier

Porsche uses MOST in your Cayenne so there is no aftermarket adaptor/connector so you can't use the factory wiring or components that I am aware of.

You should be able to find a spare switched or unswitched fuse bay on the left hand fusebox (opent he door and pull the cover off)

There is no aftermarket connectors fitted by porsche. Do a search for a mObridge unit, its upside down like you are, gives everything you will need to interface with the fibre.

so where is the best location to source power and grand for the unit then?? thx
