So my issue is that im getting very loud screeching noises like a metro bus when i apply heavy pressure to the brake pedal. The noise is not there when i apply light pressure to the brake pedal but at the stoppng point where more pressure is needed it screeches. If i use the ebrake to stop or slow down, the screeching doesnt exist, same as braking in reverse. Can anyone chime in about this issue. thanks

Model and year of your car?

Factory or aftermarket brake pads?

The ebrake uses brakes shoes inside the rear rotors they are not the same as normal braking.

Then they could be aftermarket pads - which could mean Pagid (or other brand) racing pads. That is normal for race pads.

If it really bothers you then do a pads replacement with factory parts and dampeners.

The squealing is caused by metallic vibrations. It's something akin to the way you can rub your finger around the rim of a crystal glass and make it sing. The dampers on the back of the pads are supposed to stop that. You might need fresh ones.
