leak on rear seats/floor

Just realized I should not be in the DIY section, sorry....newbie error!

Hi All,

First off let me say this site is by far the best Porsche forum I've ever seen!! Great job.

My rear pass. floor was soaked and even the seat carpet, driver side wet but not as bad.

I think I've searched all the related posts for my leak. I've cleared the drains in front of the rear wheels, blown out the lines, gotten water flowing through from the 6 entry points under the clamshell, and removed the entire rear for drying. I also checked the area behind the rear speakers....everything is bone dry in there, in fact when I poured water down the drains it did not appear in this area at all. I also intend to check the front drain area around the battery, but I think I'm OK up there. Now my question.....before I start to test again with water, is there anything I could have missed? I'm reluctant to re-asemble everything only to have some dopey little thing soak it all again in 2 weeks!! Thanks,

Check also if the carpet trim, bottom of the door inner trim, stays dry, water can also enter inside the car by a cracked/torn inner door membrane or clogged door drains.

Cleared all drains....just "rained on" and washed the car and no leaks! Thanks!

Note....Next day found small amount of water on rear floor. Replaced tubes behind rear speakers, old ones were cracking and dripping. Will update...

coupes don't have rear drains right? I took off rear wheel and plastic sheathing and coudln't find a drain plug.

I have a 2003 Cab and I have the same problem where the water isn't going into the drainage tray and the hoses are fine and clear? I appears to go into the clamshell the leak directly into into the rear wheel area but also into the car? Can anyone help? where are the door drainage areas you mentioned?

Was it both sides, or mostly behind the front passenger seat?

I replaced the tubes with simple clear plastic tubing of the same diameter, bought it at Home Depot!

The leak was worse on driver side, maybe 65/35.

For the cabs...I will bet some or all of your 6 drain channels are blocked with gunk. This prevents drainage to the rear wheel wells and water backflows inside. Check my earlier posts and Loren's guide pix...
