1999 Porsche C2 Cabriolet

This is part of cabriolet top. I noticed it has broken, but cannot identify the part number from the part diagrams. There is no number on the part itself.

Can anyone identify it?

Thanks!

Pat,

Where does it go???? I doubt Baker will be much help. I will look at mine -- thanks to this list I have worked on mine and saved big bucks.

Hey Chuck,

The part is located under the flap (item #21 in the picture attached) in the rear service area.

I am thinking my broken part most resembles item #6. But the part in the picture still looks very different than the broken part that came off my car.

Thanks for taking a look,

Patrick

Pat, the part you are showing is part of the assembly #21. I started having problems with one of mine (99 C2 Cab) last week. Tried to fix it but it kept popping loose - finally took the whole assembly off the car. It mounts up underneath the clamshell on a couple of pins on the hinge (#6). Haven't figure out what it does. I think you need to buy the whole assembly and I think it runs about $150 (list).

Pat,

I think that flap deflects water when the top is up. Don't think it is absolutly necessary -- as there are drains on each side.
