Hi,

I just picked up my 'new' 1997 TT tonight and was checking the options codes and I cannot find the description for options code 587 anywhere.

It is an Australian-delivered RHD vehicle. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Greg

There a several option codes which Porsche has never described in any literature. 587 is one of them.

It could be something market specific (Australia only) or it could be a 1 year only option. Perhaps some other member(s) can chime in if they know...

I was about to send Porsche Australia a note regarding option code 587. One last check of the vehicle identification details and I found my error. 587 is really 567, Graduated Green Windshield Tint.

Sorry for my inability to read guys.

But the car is great!

Ok, thanks that makes more sense.

Yes, a trap for young players. Although my aging eyes were partially at fault, that font in the identification card can make the differentiation of certain numbers a bit tricky.
