Has anyone had escort's laser shifters (jammers) installed? Did this require the front grills to be cut out? If anyone has any photos would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I just did this installation actually. I ended up taking off the entire front bumper cover (I was also installing mesh behind my radiator grills at the same time). It is possible to run the shifter cables into the front trunk area without removing the bumper, however - you can follow these instructions posted on Planet Porsche: ZR3 Installation.

I didn't use any of the hardware Escort provided in the packaging when mounting my front jammers in the grills. I have a 2006 Boxster and decided to use very strong double-sided velcro to stick the shifters in the grill, careful to mount them pointing directly forward (it's very hard to use the supplied mounting hardware to mount the shifters in a way that points them forward, due to the curve of the grills themselves.

I'll try and take a photo of my shifters tomorrow for you to understand what I'm talking about, but all in all it was a relatively painless operation.
