I was driving home today and got a faulty brake booster light on the dash. Brake pedal seemed to go lower than normal. Im almost afraid to ask how involved this is..

Need some help on the brake booster warning light...

I had already changed the brake booster, sensor and a check value which had problems. The brake booster warning light keeps coming on and off at times, the garage guys can't figure out the problem...

Can someone please help....

Hello, the brake seems the same whether the light is on or off. Actually my light is coming on now immediately after starting and staying on where as before it was on then off for a few days. Where is the booster and how hard is it to change? I have had the brakes, rotors upgraded to 8 piston front and 4 piston rears maybe two years ago and its been great up till now

It's never a wise idea to just start replacing parts. I would suggest taking it to someone with experience working on the Cayenne, it might not be a booster fault. Finding a good tech will save you and your wallet loads of agro.

Okay heres what the dealer found with my car. Vacuum pump bad as well as as the main vacuum line that goes off the pump. there was various splits in the vacuum hose due to age. $1100 dollar repair. Its as good as new or I should say better than new..That vacuum line has a sensor on it and also was time consuming to change..The brake pedal has much better feel than before, not as hard.
