my car is a 2003 coupe. Recently, my left turn signal started the infamous fast blinking, which usually means that a bulb is out. Since the front turn signal wasn't lit, I figured that was the one.

So, I used the tool from the kit and removed the headlight assembly, found the bulb and replaced it (the old bulb didn't look bad). This did not solve the issue. I still get the fast blinking with the left turn signal.

I've gone through the process several times to make sure that I replaced everything correctly.

any other thoughts?

Turn on your emergency flashers and walk around the car and make sure they are all working.

the only light not flashing is the drivers front turn signal.

Ok, check where the headlight plugs into the socket inside the front fender. Look for a damaged connector, damaged connector pin, or pin that has been pushed out of the holding socket.

I had the same issue, My socket was bad. The one that the bulb plugs into. There was rust in the bottom and the wires no longer made contact. I tried to fix it with some tin foil and wire pieces. It worked well but bothered me as I knew it would come back to haunt me. I started looking for a replacement. They are really hard to find !!! BUT I lucked out and DC auto in NY sent me a new one from a salvaged car (Porsche would only sell it attached to the headlight for like $900 !! )

SO if you can swap the socket from the right to the left (require removing both headlights, un plugging the socket and swapping sides) and it works... find a new socket... try junk yards and best of luck... report your findings too
