Hi All

I serched but got no answer to my problem

My windows wont come up when I close or open my cab top.The cylle is not compleated The top goes fully up or down. The light flashes on the dash and then stays on. I can hear a rattle behind the rear seats when driving with the top up. Also the alarm chirps when armed whither the top is up or down. Any suggestions.

Thanks

Hi

I just topped up the fluid (it was a little low). I also disconected the battery and still no good. The top works up and down but the cycle stop when the windows are suppost to move I can hear clicking (like relays). Light stays on in the dash. Any body got any idea. I did remove the hard top the other day without letting the windows down first would this have screwed it up

Thanks

Christopher

Someone with a PIWIS or similar diagnostic tool can help you out, the showed fault codes can lead you in the right direction.

RFM is right - you likely need a PST2 or PIWIS tester to see which microswitch is not working.

Thanks loren

Would this account for the rattle that I hear only when the top is up. Any body in Nothern MA or Southern NH with a tester.

Thanks

I brought the car to an independant that works on Porsches. He recalibrated the top the light went out and came back stright away. He said he could get the top to work including the windows with the tester but could find no fault. I still get the alarm chirp when I arm the alarm and the rattle when driving when the soft top is up. Any body got an Idea what could be the problem I am to bring the car back after my DE and autocross this week for him to spend more time on it.

thanks

Wait - he calibrated the top and didn't check the microswitches for actuation? There is a section to test those.

The alarm problem would have to register a fault in the alarm section.

I think perhaps you should find another shop.
